Ten years ago the Catholic Church created Talitha Kum, a religious sisters network from all over the world aimed at fighting the scourge of human trafficking and slavery. Ten years lated, the Talitha Kum network extended to over 77 countries and involves over 2,000 nuns who dedicated their lives to the victims and survivors of trafficking.
For this special anniversary, the Galileo Foundation presented the «Nuns Healing Hearts» campaign, which, with the ecclesiastic support of the Migrants and Refugees Section and the marvelous work of photographer Lisa Kristine, gave the first step into a sensitive fundraising campaign to help Talitha Kum continue its mission, increasing its network and saving each year hundreds of women from all over the world.
From La Machi, we developed a photo exhibit in the Vaticans Paul VI Audience Hall, in which Pope Francis was present, and we carried out the campaign launch communication, which included press, graphics, videos, a social media campaign and a website aimed at fundraising.
